Description

As a part of the Make It Happen organization, I designed a prototype telescoping grooming tool for hospital and long-term care patients. The tool features compliant locking levers, collet, and universal attachment head allowing for quick and easy swapping of tooling. The heads featured are a back-scratcher, loofa holder, shoehorn, and cotton pad grip, all designed to allow more autonomy for the user by letting them take care of their daily grooming themselves. This prototype was handed off to a disability solutions corporation to take through mass manufacturing and then to market.
